Orkla India’s MD & CEO Sanjay Sharma speaks exclusively to ET Now after the company’s market debut. He says the listing marks a momentous milestone in Orkla’s India journey and expects long-term growth driven by rising consumption and the shift from unorganized to organized markets.
Mr. Sharma adds that the company’s PBT has grown 17.6% over three years, with Q1 margins at 18.2%. On the GST cut, he says the reduction in premix rates from 18% to 5% should boost demand, while Orkla continues to focus on improving plant utilization and digitizing operations.
