India’s World Cup-winning women’s cricket team received a heartfelt welcome from Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence on 5th November. Three days after lifting the trophy, Captain Harmanpreet Kaur and her squad visited Lok Kalyan Marg, marking the country’s official celebration of their historic triumph.
Harmanpreet recalled their last meeting with the PM in 2017 and expressed pride in finally bringing the trophy home. PM Modi praised the team for uniting the nation, calling their achievement a moment that lifted the spirit of every Indian cricket fan.
