Sudan Army To Continue Fighting RSF Despite Trump’s Peace Proposal | Firstpost Africa | N18G
Sudan’s brutal civil war shows no sign of ending as the Sudanese Army vows to keep fighting the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) despite a US peace proposal. Defence Minister Hassan Kabroun called the war a “legitimate national right,” amid Washington’s mediation efforts. The United Nations warns of a worsening humanitarian disaster after the RSF captured El-Fasher, trapping hundreds of thousands under siege. According to ACLED, over 48,000 people have died since the conflict began in 2023, with millions displaced. As famine, disease, and violence spread, Sudan remains divided, and global peace efforts struggle to bring lasting stability.
