‘Four Gujarat chip plants near production,’ says Ashwini Vaishnaw in Gandhinagar
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, “Electronics manufacturing and semiconductor manufacturing in India are matters which are very important for India’s growth. So, with great focus, PM Narendra Modi, electronics manufacturing and semiconductor chips manufacturing have prepared detailed programs. Under the same program, the 4 semiconductor plants in Gujarat were reviewed in detail today. CM, Deputy CM, IT Minister and everyone else were there. The progress is good. Production from 3 plants will reach a good level in the next 2-3 months. Pilot production has already begun in the plants of Kaynes and CG. In the Micron’s mini-plant, pilot production has already begun. This is being ramped up now. Fab being manufactured in Dholera is also progressing well. In the time to come, Dholera will be a major hub for hi-tech manufacturing. The planning was discussed in detail today
