China’s southern tech hub of Shenzhen will host the 33rd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting in November 2026, President Xi Jinping said on November 1. Delivering a speech at the APEC handover ceremony, Xi addressed the importance of building an Asia-Pacific community and said the long-term development and prosperity in the region can only be achieved through the shared vision.
