38 Oxley Road site set to be gazetted as national monument
Singapore’s government plans to gazette the 38 Oxley Road site – the family home of Singapore’s founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew – as a national monument. It added that it will balance the need to preserve a location of historic significance with respect for Mr Lee Kuan Yew’s wishes for privacy. And it will do so by removing all traces of his family’s private living spaces from the buildings. #sgnews #singapore
