District Judge John Ng found that they did not know that the route they had taken – along the perimeter of the Istana – was prohibited under the Public Order Act, and that there were no signs to indicate that this.

In response to queries from CNA, the Attorney-General’s Chambers said the prosecution will be appealing the verdict.
