105 days of devotion: Chinese man’s unwavering love for sick wife #CGTN

An 82-year-old man in east China’s Zhejiang Province spent over two hours on the road every day for 105 consecutive days to visit his wife at the hospital in another city. Waking up at 4:30 a.m., Chen Azhong would take multiple buses as he commuted from Zhoushan to Ningbo to spend just 30 minutes with his wife, Xue Qing’e. Their story touched countless people, and donors contributed 144,448 yuan ($20, 898) to help the family through the mounting medical costs. On March 13, Xue passed away, bringing an end to a journey of love, devotion and kindness that touched the entire nation.
